Following a successful 2017 National Company of the Year Competition, Vintage Platform, a Junior Achievement Company from National College Gbagada was invited by Mr. Danladi Verheijen – Co Founder and Managing Partner of Verod Capital to present their product to the Company’s Investment Committee.
Mr. Danladi who was a Judge during the National Company of the Year Competition was impressed with the students’ product and thus invited them to make the presentation. The students produced a Mathematics board game as a solution to their fellow classmates fear of Mathematics and Problem Solving. They reasoned that Mathematics learning would be more fun by innovating a board game that their friends and colleagues could benefit from. The students had run tests with the mathematics board game and fellow students testified that it was indeed engaging and educating.
The meeting with Verod Capital was a success as members of the investment committee who were impressed with the presentation of the students requested from the students, a budget and list of project needs, proposing to sponsor the project further.
