Total E & P Multipurpose Co-operative Society has sponsored the delivery of JA Our Nation and JA Be Entrepreneurial programs in primary and secondary schools in Lagos and Port Harcourt. JAN staff trained Total staff, who began their in-class delivery of both programs in September and concluded in October.
JA Our Nation program helps primary school students understand the economic world through a variety of experiential activities. It focuses on the concept of globalization of business and the skills (particularly STEM skills) required for success in the 21st century. JA Be Entrepreneurial program introduces secondary school students to the essential elements of a business plan and then challenges them to start an entrepreneurial venture while still in high school. Students learn about advertising, competitive advantages, financing, marketing, and product development. We are grateful to staff members of Total Nigeria for working with us to raise young conscientious business leaders.
