In partnership with SOS Children’s Villages, JA Nigeria trained 22 school teachers from various schools in the Isolo area of Lagos State, for the JA Company Program. The training is the first step in the plan to impact 10,000 secondary school students through the JA Company Program in the 2018/2019 academic year. Representing SOS Children’s Villages, Mr. Smith welcomed the teachers and encouraged them to be fully committed to serving as mentors to their students once the program kicks off in their respective schools. Afterwards, JAN Program Manager, Ugonna Achebe delivered the Company Program teacher training, citing examples of schools that have benefited from JA programs whose students are now game changers in their communities. The training session ended on a high note with the teachers thanking JAN and SOS Children’s Villages for giving them an opportunity to invest in their students and committing to delivering full capacity.
