JA NIGERIA EMERGES FINALIST IN THE FIRST EVER GOOGLE IMPACT CHALLENGE NIGERIA

JA Nigeria was selected as one of the twelve finalists in the first-ever Google Impact Challenge Nigeria, a competition to find and provide support to the most innovative, not-for-profit Nigerian organizations using technology to solve societal problems. This announcement was made on Monday, November 5, 2018, when the competition was opened for public voting, to select four of the twelve finalists for an opportunity to double their funding to $250,000. Out of over three thousand applications received, JA Nigeria emerged amongst the twelve finalists, pitching the opportunity to scale its JA Company Program for digital entrepreneurship. JA Nigeria’s vision is to reach up to fifty thousand secondary school students with the JA Company Program coordinated by the National Program Manager, Ugonna Achebe, and raise ten thousand digital entrepreneurs by 2025, thereby contributing to the solution of unemployment in Nigeria. We are grateful to Google for this opportunity and to all friends and supporters of JA Nigeria who have voted for us
