It’s hard to believe that Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN) is 20 years old this year! 

Since our founding in 1999, we have witnessed the growth and evolution, not only of our flagship programs including ViMP and JA Company Program, but also of the organization itself. Our progress excites me and I’m thrilled to celebrate the incredible work and achievements of our team, volunteers and supporters in equipping Nigeria’s youth with the skills, networks, mindset, and values they need to succeed as the next generation of business titans.

As with all significant milestones, our 20th anniversary provides us with the perfect occasion to reflect, consolidate and build on the successes of the past and chart a course for the future. It therefore gives me great pleasure to present our anniversary theme –

20 Years of Impact, Partnering for Growth.

This theme is visually captured in the anniversary logo (below) which embodies dynamism, vivacity, prosperity and a bright future.

We have also lined up a number of programs to mark the occasion throughout 2019, which we will share with you over the next few weeks. Today though, we invite you to feast your eyes on our logo, which will become a visual focal point for our anniversary activities. 

By the end of our anniversary year, we will have empowered 1,000,000 youth across the country, yet it feels like we’re just getting started.

I would like to use this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has supported JAN over the years, and invite you to join us as we set out for the next twenty years of empowering our youth to lead the change in Nigeria.
