ACT FOUNDATION PLEDGES SUPPORT TO JAN

Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation has renewed its commitment to partner with Junior Achievement Nigeria for the third consecutive year to accelerate entrepreneurial development in Nigeria’s youth. The Head of Programs, ACT Foundation, Ndifreke Okwuegbunam made this known at a press conference which held on April 10 at IMAAD Schools, Lekki.

The press conference featured a review of JAN signature program ‘My Company My Region’ implemented in Lagos and Ogun States and sponsored by ACT Foundation. The program reached 2,000 students in both states some of whom shared their experience of how the modules improved their design thinking and problem-solving skills.

My Company My Region is a JAN program designed to teach junior secondary students how to apply entrepreneurial thinking as they explore natural resources within their region that can be combined with capital resources to create innovative businesses that solve problems found in their communities. With the alarming increase in the dropout rate of students between junior secondary and senior secondary school periods, My Company My Region seeks to inspire students to stay in school and learn practical skills for entrepreneurship and wealth creation while solving problems through innovation.
