Executive Director of Junior Achievement Nigeria, Simi Nwogugu facilitated an interactive session on the importance of character education at the Meadow Hall Foundation Education Convention which held on May 4, 2019.

Simi highlighted the seven elements of character building which include: optimism, grit, resilience, self-control, conscientiousness, creativity/curiosity and empathy. She further explained the need for balance in all seven elements to achieve wholeness in a child.

She engaged parents in an interactive discussion on strategies to balance motivation (external rewards) and volition (internal compulsion/willpower) in raising children of great character.
