We are always proud of our alumni who are leading transformational change in their respective sectors. One of such alumni is Chienye Ogwo.
Chienye, a ViMP alumna, is a former top executive at Union Bank of Nigeria PLC, and currently the Chief Executive Officer, Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG).
She has led change management at Union Bank, where she was accountable for improving strategies for the seamless implementation of the bank’s transformation initiative, and fostering buy-in among internal and external stakeholders.
At AIG, she works with the government, academic institutions, and other partners to augment governance and transform public sector performance.
She is a lawyer and a trained journalist with over 16 years of combined experience in stakeholder management and organizational transformation, legal practice and strategic communication.
She holds an LL.B degree from the University of Lagos, a B.L from the Nigerian Law School and a M.Sc in Journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
