Emmanuel Kilaso volunteers with Junior Achievement Nigeria to teach the JA Company Program in Ogun State. Emmanuel is passionate about impacting young people and that motivated him to volunteer with JA Nigeria. We had a conversation with him, read below:
What was your motivation for volunteering with JA Nigeria?
My motivation to volunteer for JA Nigeria program is because I understand at an early age the importance of running a business towards economic freedom. Because of this embedded understanding, I saw JA Nigeria as an opportunity to train young people on the entrepreneurial skills and communication skills have garnered over the years.
How would you describe your volunteering experience with JA Nigeria so far?
My volunteering with JA Nigeria so far had come with lots of ups and downs, both from the organization angle ad and students angle. One thing that stood out is that without my presence the students I am coaching are now capable of coordinating themselves. I have transferred leadership capacity to them.
Why is it important to volunteer?
Just as air and water are important to human existence, so is volunteering. By volunteering, you get to learn and also contribute your quota toward a common goal.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself
