ACOY’22: #TeamNigeria emerges overall 2nd place winners, bags 4 other awards

What a way to wrap up 2022! The 2022 Africa Company of the Year met Team Nigeria prepared! Green Apex student company from International School, University of Lagos emerged overall 2nd place winners. The student company also bagged the Public Choice Award, FedEx Global Possibilities Award, First Bank Future First Award for Finance, and Johnson and Johnson Innovation Award.

The 2022 ACOY-themed – “Fueling Changemakers” which happened live in Nigeria from the 7th – the 9th of December hosted 9 student companies representing Eswatini, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Hekima Inc student company from Zimbabwe emerged as Company of the Year 2022; they created an app that helps students effectively adapt to studying.  Green Apex student company from JA Nigeria, producers of biodegradable sanitary pads took second place and Eswanti Student company from Eswanti clinched the 3rd position. They created a Time Out Power Monitor which helps switch on and off electrical appliances.

Huge congratulations to all the other winners and all the student companies that represented their countries.
