JA Nigeria partners with Union Bank to Impact 400 girls with Leadership, Entrepreneurial, Digital skills

It’s that time of the year when we prepare for the LEAD Camp for Girls program!

Junior Achievement  Nigeria is set to hold its 22nd edition of the LEAD Camp for Girls program from the 24th -27th of July, 2023.

The Leadership Empowerment Achievement Development Program is a 3 days hybrid program where senior secondary school girls are inspired to become high-achieving leaders through learnings and skills gathered from seasoned facilitators.

This program awards young women the opportunity to be empowered by women in different spaces such as Women in Media, Arts and Entrepreneurship as well as Women in Corporate Sector. The selected girls are also exposed to leadership skills and mentored by seasoned volunteers over the course of the 3 days. At the end of the camp, the girls get to showcase their learnings through group presentations.

This year, we will have  400 female senior secondary students from 16 schools across the country. These female SS2 students will be a mixture of participants of the flagship JA Company Program and selected high-achieving students from a diverse range of geographical and cultural backgrounds.

It has been 9 years of partnering with Union Bank to implement the LEAD Camp for Girls program and we are grateful for their unwavering support over the years. We look forward to more years of partnering to inspire young girls to become high-achieving leaders and promote gender equality across Nigeria.
