JA Nigeria offers unique, experiential programs for in and out-of-school youth ages 5 – 27 years for free to beneficiaries. By fostering partnerships between businesses and educational systems ranging from primary to the National Youth Service Corps, JA Programs are underpinned by high-quality course material funded by the business sector and provided to schools free of charge. The business community also provides business professionals who bring the first-hand experience of the business world into the classroom as volunteers.
JA Nigeria teaches the next generation of business leaders a wide variety of lessons, including the importance of staying in school, what goes into running a business and an understanding of the importance of making a difference in society. JA Nigeria is developing vibrant, conscientious business leaders that can compete successfully in the global economy and nurturing youth to have positive attitudes towards business.
JA Nigeria has reached over 1,000,000 students in over 5000 schools, in all six geopolitical zones across the country with the support of over 6000 volunteers to date.
The impact of Junior Achievement on Nigeria cannot be quantified as our unique partnership approach has led to a substantial increase in CSR activity in the corporate world, increase in volunteerism amongst business professionals, training of teachers to deliver economic subjects in more engaging ways, more positive attitudes towards business across all age groups and increased financial literacy and work readiness skills in Nigerian youth.
